Resolutionary Words From the Staff at Mark Fisher Fitness

We look to the MFF team to guide us to health and hotness. They help us to sign up, set goals and follow through. So, what are their goals? What does the crazy, pantless boa booty short tutu wearing staff of MFF have to say about New Year’s Resolutions?

Mark Fisher

Weirdly, I don’t have New Year’s resolutions per se. I do, however, have things I’m looking forward to.

Personally, I’m looking forward to continuing to travel on a regular basis. I’ve found by prioritizing this, not only do I do better with work like balance (which I struggle with while in town), but paradoxically I do better work while on these breaks. Since I love what I do, the perfect “vacation” for me consists of being productive in the morning then taking the afternoon/ evening off to relax and enjoy wherever I am.

I have a couple priorities for MFF of course but…y’all will just have to wait and see!! 🙂

Michael Keeler

My resolution for 2014 is to establish some positively selfish habits: invest in regular activities that inspire and fuel me.

Equally important for me in 2014 is to finally give up my dreams of marrying Brian Patrick Murphy and move on to someone new. 2014 will be the year of courting Geoff Hemingway! Should I start with sending chocolates?

Carly Knight

I intend to get at least 365% better by the end of 2014 via educational hacking (online courses, reading Mark’s epic library, etc.) and getting my motorcycle license. I should really get a tan as well. (That implies vacationing in warmth with minimal clothing and I’m taking offers.) If I allow MFF to continue changing my health and life as it has EVERY DAY since I started here a few months ago then my “resolution” covers Mind, Awesomeness, Hotness, Travel, and Health. NAILING THIS SH*T!

Geoff Hemingway

My resolution is SUPER specific! I’d like to get VERY organized, so I’m resolved that EVERY Sunday, I’m going to take 2 hours and do my weekly Work Schedule, Menu, and Budget. I think it will serve me SO well!

Brian Patrick Murphy

This year I will be smiling constantly, having tons of fun and living full out.  I will also be speaking at more events publicly, hosting teleclasses, workshops, seminars and writing a book. Enjoying watching the Ninja Army grow is a thrill and continuing to do my BEST to lead my amazing team of superstars at MFF is my goal every single day!! BUHLEMS !

Allison Quinones

I’ve been really focusing on getting my reading in on communication and business management. My goal in 2014 is to actually put them to USE! . I’ve also signed up for a course in January and am excited to learn different approaches to helping others in all facets of life.

The second goal is to take time to myself and ENJOY what life has to offer. In other words; SLOW THE FUCK DOWN! In 2013, I’ve focused on learning different meditative practices, which I’ve put to use several times per week. In 2014, I’ve actually put time into my calendar to do it EVERY day. It really helps to put things into perspective, love myself and be more present for others.

Harold Gibbons

My New Years Resolution can be summarized as “I’m looking for someone to share in an adventure!”  Gandalf all the way!

Stephanie Wilberding

For 2014 I’m EATING THAT FROG! (Brian Tracy book on procrastination I am reading) Looking at 2014 to be the most productive year yet and planning on nipping procrastination in the butt!!!

Nikki Switzer

I am going to make it a goal to try out a new recipe at least 2x a month from the rather large pinterest pins and stack I have going and along with my bf accomplish one thing off a list of things we each want to do, whether that be a date night or a personal event or task we want to take care of for ourselves. I also am vowing to give up diet pop unless I am eating something spicy or at a movie.

Christian Sineath

I want to nail a kettlebell cert and lose 10-15 pounds (in a healthy and slow way) and lean out/ prep for a stage role where I have to be scantily clad in May!

Matt Wilson

I don’t know if I have any New Year’s Resolutions – I have had grand aspirations in the past, and learned to prevent the onset of post-New Year’s disappointment and self-loathing by not making any over-sweeping resolutions.  I do have one goal that I truly believe will serve me in my journey towards world domination and making life my bitch:  Just Say No.

In 2014, I am consciously preparing myself to limit what and whom I commit myself to, because by establishing and maintaining boundaries, ultimately I’ll nail the shit out of my personal goals/ambitions/carnal desires and help even MORE people.   But as fulfilling as it feels to consistently ‘over deliver’ with a friend, family member, facebook acquaintance or tourist, there are a finite number of actions you can perform every day. I would like to be more conscientious about my time, and my needs, so that I can ‘over deliver’ when called upon, while still respecting my personal path, health, and dreams. 2014 is going to be a great, simple year!

Katie Kaufman

I have a few New Year’s resolutions, including spreading Unicorn magic and dancing more. My biggest resolution is to make 2014 the year of adventure for this Ninja!

Amanda Wheeler

I don’t really do resolutions because I always have 1 month/3month/and 1 year goals I work on, but I do have something I want to make sure I really incorporate this year, and that is consistency. Whatever I’m working toward, I want it to be daily!

Kyle Langworthy

One of the things I’m focusing most on for 2014 (and beyond) is loving deeper, allowing myself to experience the human condition on a grander, more visceral level. Being a more logical and analytical thinker I sometimes forget to experience the emotional side of life; however, love is all we really have. At the end of the day, all that really matters are the people, our friends, our family, our loved ones, the ones that define the word “Ninja”. 2014 will be an opportunity of further exploration of this idea and I’m really fucking excited about it. 🙂

Erin Thompson

Resolution: Joy. Growth. Simplicity. Love. Balance. And a lot of dancing!

Staci Jackson

I am so excited for 2014, let’s do this shit!!! I have set a few goals for myself to accomplish in the first three months. Once I have dominated those, I will reassess and set new goals. I like the idea of setting fewer goals to ensure I can really NAIL them with laser like focus. I am always in pursuit of that perfect work/life balance to ensure I am the best version of Staci in all aspects of my life. To continue further exploration of this balance I plan on reading at least two books in three months that are completely for pleasure. I WILL travel out of the country in 2014 so I will decide on a destination and plan out my adventure. Planning time for myself to exercise and explore movement can be a struggle. I will prioritize scheduling time for myself three to four times a week. I will book a seminar to attend for MFF to further my education. I will continue to read at least two work-related books a month. And, of course I will continue to get after some mother freaking GLORY!!! I am looking forward to all that 2014 has in store, learning, loving and laughing; ain’t nothing better.

Chris Crowthers

My resolution:  To not always say yes.

Elizabeth Stacey

Danielle LaPorte says that “Guidance can be those notions you can’t get out of your mind…gentle heart cues.” In 2014, I plan to tune into those cues, rather than excusing them away as silly or irrational, and acknowledge that they are authentic and valuable. Oftentimes the best advice we can receive is from within, we just have to slow down, trust and listen.

Also I hope to raise over the $1500 fundraising goal for the Michael J. Fox Foundation as I prepare to run my first half marathon in March in honor of my father. Go Team Fox!
