The below safety plan has been developed to comply with all Covid-19 health requirements from New York State Department of Health and the New York City Health Department. Here’s what every Ninja and Trainer needs to know before entering the space:
New York City requires you to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to enter The Enchanted Ninja Clubhouse of Glory and Dreams.
- Those 12 years of age and older must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
- “Proof of vaccination” means proof of receipt of at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine authorized for emergency use or licensed for use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration or authorized for emergency use by the World Health Organization.
- Such proof may be established by:
- A CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card or an official immunization record from the jurisdiction, state, or country where the vaccine was administered or a digital or physical photo of such a card or record, reflecting the person’s name, vaccine brand, and date administered; or
- A New York City COVID Safe Pass (available to download on Apple and Android smartphone devices); or
- A New York State Excelsior Pass.
- Upload your proof of vaccination by following the instructions below.
STEP 1: Log into your MINDBODY ONLINE account from your desktop browser and navigate to the “MY INFO” tab.
STEP 2: Navigate to the “DOCUMENTS” section.
STEP 3: In the “DOCUMENTS” section, click the “CHOOSE FILE” button. Find and select your Proof of Vaccination file!
(Please Note: Allowed file extensions are: pdf, jpg, jpeg, tif, tiff, png, doc, docx, bmp, txt, rtf, xlsx, xls, gif, zip, ppt, pptx, mov)
STEP 4: Click the “UPLOAD” button. Your Proof of Vaccination file will now appear listed in your Documents! Das it!
- Masks are strongly suggested: We strongly suggest that all Ninjas wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth at all times inside the Clubhouse, including during classes or training sessions.
- Follow physical distancing requirements. Maintain a reasonable distance between yourself and others at all times inside the Clubhouse.
- Practice health hand hygiene. Utilize our touchless hand sanitizers throughout the space and wash your hands with soap and warm water frequently.
- Requirements for Team MFF. All MFF Team members are required to be vaccinated and all Ninja-facing MFF team members in the Clubhouse to wear masks (or protective facial wear) until further notice.
We’re enforcing four key actions to prevent Covid-19 transmission.
- Stay home if you are sick. All Ninjas are required to pass a temperature check on-site and complete a health check-in upon entering the Clubhouse before every visit.
- Wear a mask at all times. Everyone must wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth at all times inside the Clubhouse, including during training sessions.
- Follow physical distancing requirements. Maintain a distance of six feet between yourself and others at all times inside the Clubhouse.
- Practice health hand hygiene. Utilize our touchless hand sanitizers throughout the space and wash your hands with soap and warm water frequently.
We’re implementing responsible health practices for our team.
- Any MFF team member who is sick or experiencing flu-like symptoms will be required to stay home until they are symptom-free for 2 days and receive a negative Covid-19 rapid test. If needed, MFF will pay for this testing.
- MFF team members will be temperature checked and complete the same health check-in before every shift. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4° or higher will not be permitted to work for a period of at least 2 days and until they receive a negative Covid-19 rapid test. If needed, MFF will pay for this testing.
- MFF team members will be required to wear a face covering at all times during their time at the MFF Clubhouse. The only exception will be to take sips of water, which must always be done while observing physical distancing requirements.
- MFF team members will receive instruction, support and accountability to implement all new protocols and hold our Ninja community accountable to the same standard.
- In the unlikely event a member of the MFF team contracts Covid-19, they will not be permitted to return to work until they have quarantined for a period of 14 days and are symptom free.
We’re relying on our Ninjas to uphold the below Ninja Safety Pledge.
- I promise not to enter the MFF Clubhouse for a period of 14 days if I have tested positive for Covid-19, if I have experienced symptoms of Covid-19, if I have knowingly been exposed to an active case of Covid-19, or if I have been to a restricted state on the NYS Covid-19 Travel Advisory List during that time.
- I promise not to enter the MFF Clubhouse for a period of 2 days if I have a temperature of 100.4° or higher or if I simply feel unwell.
- I will sanitize my hands immediately upon entering the MFF Clubhouse.
- I will keep 6’ of physical distance between myself and everyone I encounter at the MFF Clubhouse whenever possible.
- I will wear a mask that covers my nose and mouth at all times. The only exception will be to take sips of water, which must always be done while observing physical distancing requirements.
- I will follow all cleaning protocols requested of me and disinfect any equipment I touch before and after each use with the supplies provided by MFF.
- I will talk to a member of the MFF Team if I notice anyone not complying with the above rules and regulations.
We’re changing access to the Clubhouse to match our new needs.
- Until further notice, only the Dragon Lair, its adjoining waiting area, and the Snatchery hallway leading to the exit will be accessible to Ninjas.
- To allow for physical distancing, only 1 trainer and 3 Ninjas will be permitted in Dragon Lair for each training session every hour.
- Ninjas will complete their health check and enter the space via the storefront door on the front side of the Dragon Lair. Ninjas will exit the space via the door at the end of the Snatchery hallway.
We’re modifying the structure of our sessions to promote health and safety.
- Upon first reopening, training sessions will occupy only 50 minutes of time (inclusive of warm-up and cool down) to allow time for the mandatory health check at the top of the session and the mandatory cleaning and disinfecting at the end.
- We’ve created distinct “pods” in the Dragon Lair to eliminate equipment sharing during semi-private training.
- MFF trainers will refrain from tactile cueing during training sessions and approach Ninjas for spotting-based activities only when necessary for safety.
- High fives, hugs, and other high-touch activities that promote the spread of germs will be eliminated for now. But they’ll be back one day:-)
We’re committed to maintaining the cleanest fitness facility in the world.
- We’ve deep cleaned the space with EPA-approved disinfectant approved for use to stop the spread of Covid-19.
- MFF team members will disinfect all high touch surfaces (lockers, door knobs, toilet handles) after each hour.
- Ninjas will be provided a bottle of disinfectant and a towel to clean any equipment they touch before and after each use.
We’ve invested in space improvements so that virus has nowhere to hide.
- We’ve retrofitted our HVAC units and air handling systems with MERV-13 filters approved by the CDC and New York State to combat the spread of Covid-19.
- We’ve installed touchless water faucets in all bathrooms to complement the touchless hand sanitizer stations in every room.
- We’ve completely replaced the floors in the hallway leading to the Snatchery and the lobby / waiting area directly outside the Dragon Lair.
We’re changing the way we do some other things for the time being.
- The MFF Clubhouse has always been a safe place to hang out and pass the time. For now, it’s important to keep everybody’s time inside the Clubhouse to an absolute minimum.
- Ninjas will be permitted to enter the Clubhouse at the time their session is listed in Mindbody and upon successfully completing the health check-in. Please do not arrive early.
- Ninjas should arrive in their workout clothes and come with a minimum amount of items to stow so they can dive into their warm-up immediately after checking in.
- We will not be providing towel service or selling any merch items until further notice. Please bring a towel from home and a water bottle to refill at our water refilling station.
- It is our strong preference that you train barefoot or bring a separate pair of non-street shoes to train in during your session.
- After you have completed your session, please exit the Clubhouse immediately after you have had time to collect your belongings.
We’ve got a contingency plan in place should Covid-19 rear its ugly head.
If we learn someone who has tested positive for Covid-19 within the last 14 days has entered the Clubhouse we will:
- Disclose the date of the visit on our website.
- Notify via email anyone who was in the space that day.
- Disinfect the entire affected space with EPA-approved cleaner and, if necessary, temporarily halt operations to address any other issues.
Lastly, we love you.
Thank you so much for reading through all this stuff. We pride ourselves on making the Clubhouse a respite from the ordinary world. While we know strictly enforcing all these rules may seem like a drag at first, thank you for understanding our first and foremost commitment is to keeping you all safe and healthy.
