It never fails.  One of the biggest concerns that people new to working out often voice is the fear of getting too bulky.  And because of a supplement industry and marketing culture that makes ludicrous claims as to the speed of muscle growth (New Xtreme Muscle Gain 2000!!!  WARNING: DON’T USE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BUILD SLABS OF NEW BEEFY MUSCLE EVERY SECOND!!! EXTREME!!!!!!!!!), many people think if they lift anything bigger than the pink dumbells this is gonna happen:

One of the most under-appreciated bodily processes is the simple act of breathing.  Without breathing, our body literally does not function.  The average person takes between 20,000 and 30,000 breaths in a day.  And like most things that happen automatically, it’s easy to lose sight of the fact that every breath is a small miracle.

As many of you know, I’ve recently been teaching some fitness classes in addition to my usual personal training antics.  It’s been an absurd amount of fun and the response has been overwhelming and humbling.  When many of the students in my current class asked if I’d be interested in doing another session straight away… well, I’m not one to turn down people with a passion for the Way of Health and Hotness.
